Responsible for the Design and construction of New York City Firehouses, Emergency Medical Ambulance stations & Police Stations supervising a staff of 40 Architects and Engineers with a program budget of $200M annually. Mary Mitchell Family and Youth Center ($3.5M, 8months),

Police Forensic Laboratory (after the famous O.J. Simpson trial, forensic Laboratory in Jamaica, Queens needed an upgrade to comply with the latest standards of forensic testing, $12M design/build project was completedin12months),

IS394 (Intermediate school in Crown Heights, phase I construction was completed in 8 months for $17M)

Due to the successful completion of the above-mentioned projects, I was honored with several Commissioners’ awards and promoted to the Program Director’s position in the Fire Program Unit.

Facility Manager, NBC Studios, Rockefeller/Center, NYC June/1996 – October/1996

Facility and Construction Management work at NBC Channel 4 studios.

Project Manager, Castle Construction Company September/1995 – June/1996

Responsible for the residential construction projects at McGuire air Force Base in N.J with a total budget of $10 Million.

Chief Estimator and Project Manager, Daidone Electric, Inc. March/1989 – August/1995

Prepared cost estimates of projects up to $100 million for the various public agencies in NY/NJ area. Ran projects cost effectively and within budget. Major duties included field engineering, purchasing, coordinating various trades, negotiating change orders and related project management tasks. Submitted and negotiated contract claims.

Rehabilitation of New York City transit

Building of 4 substations at Newark Airport’s monorail project (APM/Automated People Mover)

North River Water pollution plant (subcontract value $16M, 36 months)

New York City Transit’s system wide Fiber optics systems’ installation ($106M, 48 months).

Designed, developed and estimated cost for New York City transit Authority/NYCTA’s Power Contracts. Prepared and negotiated change orders. Reviewed and approved shop Drawings. Coordinated construction activities with the project supervisor.
