Worked as a PCB design & manufacturing engineer/consultant and collaborating communications between client’s team, Management, Manufacturing, Assembling and Project management teams.
Provided a pre and post engineering support in a fast-pace and deadline-oriented environment.
Successfully designed multilayered Printed Circuit boards (up to 24 layers) using CAD tools such as Mentor Graphics PADs, OrCAD, Altium & Cadence Allegro and for top high-tech companies such as Apple, Abbot Hematology, Broadcom, Theranos, SRI, Tensentric, Spansion to name a few.
Designed for Fabrication, Assembly and Test as per the latest IPC standards. Impedance calculations and length matching and differential pair routing. Schematic capturing, netlist insertion, part creation and their placement, and routing using SMT and through hole techniques. Defining board constraints, interactive placement/routing, generating Gerber art files, plots with fabrication notes, including reports and design specifications before sending the files to the customer. Developed an internal best practices procedure for design team that helped in improving design quality.
Member of the Engineering team involved in Doing DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFT (Design For Testing) checks using CAM350, Valor & CAD/CAM. Also created and checked PCB parts assembly aid programs by using AEGIS Circuitcam32.
