Monitor, coordinate, and conduct responses to security breaches, disasters, or other information technology (IT)-related emergencies, by using the client’s Firepower/ePO (HBSS), ACAS, BlueCoat, Splunk>, and NetCool packet capturing/analyzing database toolsets. Reporting to the CIRT leadership and the CNDSP Project Manager. Recommend response processes, procedures, and courses of action (COA) to the CIRT leadership through the Remedy ticketing system and logging all processes and findings on the client’s sharepoint. Conduct and facilitate incident investigations by identifying, collecting, and controlling evidence for potential criminal cases resulting from an incident until it can be turned over to evidence custodians. Make recommendations to the CIRT leadership concerning such actions as: removing affected/infected systems from service, backup and recovery procedures, and returning systems to trusted and secure configuration. Participate in the post-incident evaluation and report preparation for the CIRT lead. During this contract used Windows 10 OS system tools from Command Prompt and Powershell to ping, pulling the active directory, and system operational information; to installing, updating, and checking the information of software to the known vulnerabilities. The used of virtual environments are available as a testbed for testing update patches and configuration changes that are pushed down from JFHQ-DODIN and DISA.

Integrate IED TECHINT and biometric forensics with traditional all source analysis to identify IED networks. Prioritize and deconflict assignments to ensure the timely delivery of intelligence support products. Assess the progress of research projects and advise the Team Leader on redirecting efforts. Provide on-the-job training and guidance to team members on all aspects of work. Identify resource requirements and shortfalls to supervisor. Review projects for compliance with tasking and security policies.
