CA Technologies – Software Engineer June 2014 – July 2017 Project – Data Content Discovery: CA DCD helps you identify data exposure risks on Z systems by scanning through mainframe data infrastructure. By discovering data location, classifying the data to determine sensitivity level and providing a comprehensive report on scan results, mission essential data can be protected, and risks mitigated. Technologies: Java-Spring, Hibernate, React JavaScript, Selenium, JRebel, IntelliJ IDE, Maven architecture

• Created web pages using React.js and tested the functionality on Apache Tomcat Server.

• Built a system that replicates the Z/OS scans on Windows OS that provided developers a testing environment. ActiveMQ Message Service was used to act as Workload Manager (WLM).

• Worked on Java with Spring to interact with DB2 in the backend.

• Evaluated the use and benefit of JRebel for the team and recommended its use to the management.

• Worked in Scaled Agile Framework interacting with different teams across continents to achieve results.

• Studied the details Maven architecture and building projects.

• Worked on creating REST APIs for project support to get, create, and update the records with sensitive data.

• Scripted JUnit tests for unit testing.

• Automated functional tests using Selenium.

• Contributed to the team in creating mock CCNs (Credit Card Numbers) with repeating digits for effective testing of false positives.

Project – Generate REST for CA GEN: CA Gen is designed to automatically generate the code from business logic in various languages, like Java, C++, and C. The project aimed to generate REST APIs using CA Gen. A user writes the logical part of the application and then uses the REST feature to generate the REST code. The code is then packaged in a WAR file to be used by the application.

Technologies: Java, C++, RESTful web services, REST clients

• Created functions in the C++ base of CA GEN so that the Java REST code is appropriately generated

• Built automation scripts in Java test cases in excel sheets to avoid repetitive manual testing.

• Created automation scripts in VBS for HP Unified Functional Testing that built and deployed War files and tested them.

• Identified the applications of CA GEN in data streaming and addressed the same through RESTful web services

Project – App Services Orchestrator: CA App Services Orchestrator simplifies service orchestration by working seamlessly with existing development tools (e.g. CA Gen) to repurpose existing backend enterprise data and business logic into developer-delighting Web APIs, accelerating the creation of mobile-to-enterprise apps. Technologies: HTML5, CSS, Ajax.

• Built automation scripts in Selenium for effective testing.

• Used jQuery for efficient rendering of input fields in service-creation wizard SULTAN AHMED SHAIK
