Experience Summary

Presently I am working with QATAR PETROLEUM through Spie Oil & Gas in Ras Laffan Industrial City, QATAR Since From 07/07/2013 to till Date. Pre Commissioning and Commissioning of Oil Gas Project – Phase 2 for Qatar

Petroleum– Ras Laffan project Consisting of Seawater cooling water facility with coarse screens and band Screens

to handle 950000 m3/hr at Seawater intake. Pumping facilities to handle 525000 m3/hr with 27 no’s of mixed

flow centrifugal pumps (Ebara -Japan)) driven by Variable Speed Drives (ABB Motors, 7.5MW) of 45000 m3 capacity

at 48 meter diff head each, Electro chlorination package of 300 m3/hr seawater flow (9 trains) with 460 kgCl2/hr

Chlorine Generation facility (SEVERN TRENT DENORA).

(WITH THE LARGEST PLANT IN THE WORLD) PUMPING STATION

Job Description

Highly Safety conscious about plant and equipments.

Well known about the Safety Systems in plant areas.

Issue work permits already approved by the supervisor after making sure that all safety precautions prescribed in the permit (including gas tests) are fulfilled and closely follow up the job. and check the equipment for correct operation when maintenance work is completed.

Give work instructions and guidance to Asst.Operators in accordance with established programmed and direct instructions.

Undertake regular routine checks of all equipment and units to ensure that they are functioning correctly in accordance with standard operating procedures and ensure all relevant operating. Data are recorded on the log sheets.

Report all equipment and instrument defects and leaks immediately to his supervisor and take any possible corrective action in accordance with standing instructions.

Start, check or stop equipment locally on a planned basis or in case of emergency, may adjust the set points of local controllers.

Regularly collect process data, analyze this and take appropriate action in case of abnormality.

During the start-up of equipment remotely, such as compressors, separators, and pumps, assist in checking and following start-up sequences.

Start and adjust the flow rate of chemical injection pumps as required, and logs chemical consumption rates and tank levels.

Coordinate with Maintenance and Safety during preventive maintenance checks on fire and gas system.

Initiate and lead firefighting or other emergency actions in his area until it is taken over by a higher authority.

Giving quick Response and Report to Near Miss Accidents.

Monitoring of the Plant Rotary & Statics equipments.

Monitoring the parameters such as Pressure, Temperature, and Flow etc.

Experience in working with process Equipment, Pumps, and Compressors.

Fully conversant with the responsibilities as Area Authority within the

Information to Panel Operator/ Supervisor for any potentially Hazardous situations if found.

Carries out instructions to regulate operating conditions as necessary.

Carries out regular monitoring of equipment performance. Information to the

Panel Operator/ Supervisor for abnormalities such as abnormal Noises, vibrations, leaks etc.

Starts up /shut down activities with standard operating procedures as per Instructions by Shift Supervisor (QP).

Maintain a good standard of housekeeping, and keep plant and equipment clean and tidy.

Approximately 90% of work time is spent outside exposed to prevailing weather and normal plant conditions.
