Agile Project for Big Data application with Apache Hadoop, Oracle VM on Ubuntu (UNIX) performing analysis using Python and ‘R’ for Hive and Squirrel queries. Implement User Stories for Hadoop products to determine this:

Infrastructure built: (Hadoop ecosystem) HDFS, Hbase, Hive, Scoop and Flume, Mahout, etc.

In Hadoop’s solution, MapReduce is used, how much does this limit Hive’s performance compared to Spark

Hadoop optimizes computations for data on spinning disks, what if we no longer use spinning disks.

How well does Hadoop’s Cassandra perform as a ‘SQL database’ in support of OLTP applications

Compare Hadoop performance to MapD real-time queries: https://www.mapd.com/demos/tweetmap/

Face with delays due to a previous project exceeding schedule and budget. We broke out the higher payoff enhancements and merged those with the previous project to fund resources necessary to complete it. This consumed the available resources and budget as frequently happens with waterfall projects. It offered me the opportunity to explain how the Agile methodology avoids such occurrences. I’m pleased that the principle enhancements did get implemented and they are now adopting Agile.
