Partner with the CEO and lead investors to launch a startup medical device company focused on interventional infusion catheter platforms for the lysis of venous thromboembolisms. Lead fund raising activities to support the initial research & development and regulatory pathway to enable the company to begin product marketing & sales by the end of 2018. Establish and implement policies and procedures for the operation of the finance & accounting function. Coordinate outside counsel throughout the patent filing process in the USA and abroad.

Chief Financial Officer & Chief Investment Officer Organize, develop, implement, and direct the fiscal and monetary activities of a 800 unit diversified senior care organization. Partner with the CEO and the Board in strategic planning, business plan development, mergers & acquisitions, and financial planning & analysis for an annual budget of over $80 million. Accountable for all fiscal responsibilities and investment activities of $1.4 billion endowment, including development and implementation of a strategic asset-allocation plan, ongoing risk management & analysis, investment recommendations, and oversight of outside asset managers. Manage and coordinate the investment, liquidity, and asset/liability management to optimize long term investment performance within confines of the endowment’s investment policy. Monitor investment performance, including compliance and responsibility for amendment or restructuring of our investment policy statement. Execute coverage program of targeted alternative investment firms, investment and commercial banks, and relevant deal sponsors.
Structured, negotiated and closed a $14 million acquisition of a 120 bed long term care nursing facility.

Responsible for firm-wide leadership of the global sourcing program including the establishment, integration, and management of offshore captive shared service centers and strategic vendor alliances. Partnered with senior executives across all business units and corporate enterprise functions to develop and implement the optimal mix of people, process, technology and location in support of business operations.
