SYFAN polyolefin shrink films have been used worldwide for over 30 years for a wide variety of packaging applications. Syfan sells strictly through Distribution and Sales Reps. Responsible for broad territory covering California, Oregon, Washington, Western Canada, Idaho & Montana, Arizona & NM. Manage sales across 70 Distributors and 3 Reps. Added over $1MM in new business on an annualized basis by working closely with Quality Distributors. Corrected pricing across the entire territory to reflect appropriate margins for the company. Opened Western Canada with an 11-location distributor. Presently working on large food markets in Northernmost Mexico. Customers include Dole Foods, Boskovitch Farms (Costco), Mann Packing, Taylor Packing, D’Arrigo Bros., and many other fine companies in the California Fresh Produce Industry. NAFCO specializes in having materials custom manufactured and private labeled for customers using quality cast extruded poly/film for laminations, pouch and bag products primarily for the food market. Responsibilities are broad; calling the account, selling the account, follow-up to collect money and ensure future s a l e s, inventory reports, billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, personal visits/entertainment and working closely with suppliers and outside finance. Expertise in selling cast flat film products to fresh produce packaging in California food markets to growers, packers & shippers. Firm bonds with suppliers assure a continuous supply of quality product and material selection. Primary products supplied: Clamshell containers, trays lined or plain for the fresh produce market in Central Cal. shrink bands, cast co-extruded films, polyolefin shrink films, square bottom liners, PET films, TPE, TPO, laminated structures, and a variety of printed product. Personal responsibility for running a $24MM sales group with a great team selection and cultivation and

$20MM in procurement, sourcing & contract negotiation. Worked closely with D’Arrigo Bros., Driscoll, Fro-Sun, Boskovitch Farms, Dole Frozen Foods (Export), Ocean Mist Farms, BoniPak Produce, Tanamura & Antle in fresh produce. Outside of fresh produce I contracted work with Borden, Lipton, Monsanto, Unilever, Johnson & Johnson, Becton Dickinson, Goodrich Aerospace, United Technologies, among others. In addition, developed film sales to the converter market on West Coast with custom films, PE, PP, PET, CPP, EVA, EVOH, Nylon as substrates for conversion to packaging film or labels as an end use. These film products were used extensively in the Consumer Goods markets. Converters typically treat, print, laminate or flow-coat these films with the brand of the end user. The finished rolls then run on high-speed packaging equipment or label machines in large volume. Converters also sheet and stack PET films for label machines. The pharma and wine industries both use BOPET film for labels.

Signed Exxon-Mobil to a National Contract for all Marine Coatings in North America valued at the time at $16 million. Dynamic executive sales in New York City selling specialized polyamide epoxy paints and coatings to NY firms owning/operating ocean-going vessels; ships, tankers, freighters and barges. Applications were often critical to fuel savings and hull smoothness performance as well as cargo-sequencing with highly specialized coatings for interior tank and cargo holds.
