PROJECT

Study the mechanical behavior of friction welding of SS 304 & SS 202. Description :

The purpose of this work was to study the mechanical behavior of friction welding of SS 304&202 join and assess the development of solid state joints of same materials of different grades SS 304 & 202.Via continuous drive friction welding process, which combines the heat generated from friction between two surfaces and plastic deformation. Experiments performed on automatic CNC lathe machine. Tests were going conduct with different welding process parameter. The strength welded joints were determined by Hardness test. Tensile test in universal testing machine, Optical microscope test.
