I am a qualified chemical engineer, with 8 years’ experience in the Mining Industry, a year experience in Fast Moving Consumable Goods and just less than 6 months experience in the pharmaceutical’s industry. I have experience in production, supply chain, marketing, operational support, novel process development and project management. I have excellent people and networking skills. Over the years, I have managed and networked with a variety of people from the ground level, to the influencers and decision makers within Anglo American, in divisions such as: Technical Development, Amplats and Anglo Chile and various vendor companies. I have demonstrated over the various projects I have worked in, that I can be a team leader, work within a team and work independently. I am skilled at process design, development and improvement in industry.
I believe that my strong educational background, my extensive work experience and my personal attributes makes me an appropriate candidate for the position advertised. I have worked in production and provided operational support to the Anglo sites. Coupled with my engineering methodology, listening, networking and working with others, I was able to come up with solutions to problems and implementing these solutions to industry. I am able to communicate these solutions through effective report writing and presentations. Over the years, I have written technical and operational reports for Anglo American senior management and also presented various strategic projects to the influencers and decision makers within Anglo American. My working experience comprises of working in projects and applying the concepts of project management in order to meet the deliverables with a strong focus on cost, quality, accuracy and time.

1. Adcock Ingram: Pharmaceutical Industry- 15 January 2017 to 30 June 2017: Position held-
Lab Manager (Contract Position)
The key function of this role was to ensure raw materials and products tests adhere to the company’s standards and industry benchmarks. These product and raw material needed to be released timeous to support the business needs.
Job Functions:
Ensure all tests adhere to the quality standards as set out by the company and benchmarks as set out by industry.
Managing time, resources (capital, equipment and staff), to ensure that product and raw materials were released on time according to the business needs.
Collaborating with other departments such as supply chain, production and quality assurance to make sure that the two objectives mentioned above are meet.
Working with marketing department for the launch of a new product i.e. making sure that the relevant tests could be performed.
Managing a staff consisting of 50 people made up samplers, analysts, supervisors, students, administration team.
2. Anglo American Technical Solutions: Mining Industry- 1 November 2007 to 30 June 2015: Positions held- Mineral Processing Metallurgist, Operations Manager, Operations Metallurgist, Technical Metallurgist and Graduate Metallurgist (All Permanent Positions)
All roles at Anglo American comprised of working in projects to service the needs of either an external or internal client. Projects either compromised of pilot plant work or lab work or operational support.

3. Simba (PTY) LTD: Fast Moving Consumable Goods – 1 July 2006- 31 October 2007:
Position held -Production Line Manager (Permanent Position)
The main responsibility of this role was to run the production line for the Simba and Lays products. This included managing both the processing and packaging sections.
Job Function:
Responsible for achieving the weekly production targets while maintaining product quality standards.
Managing the production team consisting of processors, packaging technicians and packers- 50 people.
Reducing downtime.
Maintaining good house-keeping.
Filling the role of production manager when needed.
Filling the role of production planner when required. This included drawing up the weekly production plan and preparing the operational data for the daily production meetings.
