I currently supervise the daily execution of 22 Grocery and Large Format Retailers in the Tuscaloosa and Northport territory; as it pertains to distribution, product processing and merchandising within those stores, while managing, coaching and training 25 employees who are responsible for each of their respective stores.

Family Dollar Stores/District Manager

June 2015-December 2016

I oversaw the daily store operations; which included complete P&L accountability, shrink control, sales generation, store planner and layout execution, and payroll and expense control of 12 stores supervising 12 direct reports and approximately 90 employees within that district. This district spanned from Tuscaloosa to Camden, AL. while generating approximately $20 million in sales annually.

Advance America/District Manager

January 2012-May 2015

I oversaw the daily store operations; which included complete P&L accountability, debt control, hiring and training of associates, portfolio growth and marketing execution of 11 stores supervising 11 direct reports and approximately 40 employees within that district. This district spanned from Tuscaloosa to Winfield to Demopolis, AL. while maintaining approximately $800k in portfolio balance.

During my tenure as District Manager, five stores within my district were responsible for testing an installment/extended loan product. In addition, the company rolled out a “title-loan” product and gold purchasing in all stores.

EZCorp (EZ Money Stores)/District Manager

June 2007-January 2012

I oversaw the daily store operations; which included complete P&L accountability, debt control, hiring and training of associates, portfolio growth and marketing execution of 14 stores supervising 14 direct reports and approximately 50 employees within the district. This district had nine stores located in Alabama and five in Florida while maintaining approximately $1 million in portfolio balance.

The district was the first and only district opened in the state of Alabama; originally started with five stores and with those stores achieving excessive portfolio growth, while controlling debt, four additional stores were opened in 2009, growing the district store count to nine.

In 2011, the company opened five stores in Florida that were managed by existing Pawn Shop management. Four months of lack luster growth and performance, those stores were then assigned to my district bringing the store count to 14. Through designing a training program, coaching and accountability, these stores accomplished portfolio growth while reducing debt becoming profitable.

In addition to operating the district, I was assigned the Dallas market for approximately two months being tasked of improving performance, growing the stores portfolio while reducing debt of approximately 70 stores.

Variety Wholesalers (Bargain Town, Bills, Maxway Stores)/District Manager

July 2005-June 2007

I oversaw the daily store operations; which included complete P&L accountability, shrink control, sales generation, store planner and layout execution, and payroll and expense control of 10 stores supervising 10 direct reports and approximately 100 employees within that district. This district spanned from Birmingham to Central, AL. while generating approximately $20 million in sales annually.

Included in this district were four proto-type stores; featuring name brand items for hard & soft lines.

In addition, one new store was opened and two existing stores were relocated within the district.

I also assisted in the training of new District Managers.
