1. Profitability of the Store

Activities:

Ensure Targets are achieved.

Budget expense to keep costs low and maximize profitability.

2. Operations

Activities:

Ensure opening and closing the store at the Right Time.

Maintain an efficient ordering system to ensure that all necessary supplies on the store are available as required.

Check if all the furniture and fixtures are maintained properly.

Ensure adequate measures are taken to prevent theft / shoplifting.

3. Inventory

Activities:

Monitor stock level and place orders, with the HO/ZO, warehouse when stocks begin to run low.

Coordinating with IT on issues relating to Cataloguing.

Inspect staff grooming.

Maintain employee attitude and morale.

Ensure all employees are trained in terms of product knowledge.

Discipline employees consistent with the company disciplinary policies

Providing on the job training to Sales Staff on Product Knowledge, Retail Knowledge, and Customer Service etc.

5. Customer Service

Activities:

Empower staff to "use their best judgment" in all customer service matters

Monitor quality service among staff through training in co-ordination with HRD.

Be personally available to all customers to communicate and identify their needs and address their questions or concerns.

Maintain the addresses / contact details of the frequent customers.

Communicate customer complaints to employees to keep them abreast of the situation.

Identify areas of Customer deficit.

6. Communication

Activities:

Provide the Area Manager with a weekly update on the progress of the floor in terms of sales and staff.

Reporting on MIS, Sales performance & Competitive analysis on a regular basis.

Schedule the weekly/Monthly staff meetings.

Give reports to the AM

7. Merchandising

Activities:

Work with the Category Retail team to implement the merchandising plan.

Provide feedback to the Category Retail team about the latest trends.

Update Category Retail Team with the selling & non-selling items, fast & slow moving items.

8. Business Development

Activities:

Analyzing latest marketing trends & tracking competitors’ activities & providing valuable inputs for fine tuning sales & marketing strategies.

Identifying & networking with prospective clients, generating business from the existing accounts & achieving profitability & increased sales growth.
