Director of Employee Experience – Human Resources shared services lead, 2015 – Feb 2018
Reported to the SVP of Human Resources in the Americas Region with responsibility of the overall work culture and engagement for more than 40,000 employees amongst 210 hotels in the United States, Canada and Latin America. Accountable for leading a shared services team charged with advancing organizational culture and the employee experience.
Team Leadership – Led a team of 4 direct reports in a shared service model supporting hotel leadership through Human Resources consulting services, vendor contracts, talent management, learning and development, legal compliance, and HR analytics.

Reported jointly to the General Manager of the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis, the SVP of Human Resources for the Hyatt Americas Region, and serving in a consultative role to General Managers and Human Resources teams at hotels in Indianapolis, Columbus, Cleveland, Minneapolis and Pittsburgh. Led Human Resources service delivery strategy, change management for corporate initiatives, high level employee issue resolution and talent development.
Talent Acquisition – Created selection@hyatt, a talent acquisition training program delivered to Human Resources teams at 120 locations in the U.S. and Canada.
Labor Relations – Guided operational leaders and hotel employees through an intense multi-year union organizing campaign in order to keep business operations functioning at a high level.
HR Compliance – Led 12 comprehensive Human Resources team functional audits at various locations throughout the U.S. Served as the Affirmative Action lead for 8 hotels in multiple states.
Compensation Strategy – Developed and provided consultation to HR leaders on annual compensation strategies for both exempt and non-exempt wage plans.

Employee Engagement – Implemented engagement strategies with department managers and colleagues to improve the Gallup Q12 grand mean from 4.29 to 4.57.
