SCOPE OF WORK

Multi billion dollars’ project, 47 km with 7 Grade Separated Interchanges includes cross road, pedestrian and bicycle path. Highway Structures includes bridges, flyovers, underpasses, culverts, retaining walls, pump stations, substations, drainage structures, tanks, gantries, etc. Traffic signs, road markings, intelligent traffic systems (ITS) Street Lighting and bridge underpass lighting works. Storm water and drainage system. Foul sewerage network, TSE Network, Water supply network, Utilities works includes electrical network, telephone network, utilities protection works, Landscaping, Hardscape and Irrigation works. Scope also includes:

Site clearance, site installations, traffic diversions

Demolition, removal of existing structures and existing roads

Road works, including pavement construction, kerbing, cycle way and footpath

A new freeway including all related works such as grade-separate interchanges, cross roads, Collector roads – Distributor roads, ramps, post tensioning, raft foundation, main abutment, braiding wall etc. as required and approved by the Engineers.

Highway structures including bridges, flyovers, underpasses, culverts, retaining walls, Micro Tunneling works, pump stations, substations, drainage structures, tanks, gantries, etc.

Traffic signs, road markings, and all civil works related to Intelligent Traffic System (ITS).

Street lighting and bridge underpass lighting works as required for this contract and approved by the Engineer.

Underground Utilities Network such as Sewerage, Water, Electrical, Telephone and Communication

Utilities diversion / protection works (including QP pipelines and EHV Overhead powerlines 440kv and underground diversion of 11kv and more).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct accident/incident and near miss investigation, make proper report, documentation and recommendation to avoid reoccurrence.

Implement HSE pro-active measures in the project site activities

Conduct construction related HSE trainings to staff to identify site hazards during their job activities at site

Monitor the compliance with Qatar Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) legislation and Sub-Contractors HSE Plan and report and follow up any breaches. (QCS 2014)

Develop a culture to anticipate and prevent health hazardous conditions

Weekly safety meetings where required as necessary. Report any outstanding and critical safety issues or lack of action in the weekly progress meetings.

Ensure that HSE risks are identified, assessed and managed for all project activities

Participate in the project team meetings and provide guidance in all HSE activities

Ensure that relevant safety measures have been put in place for Engineers & Inspectors and provide training as and when require.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Implementation of safety plan on site and review of risk assessment.

Ensure work under my control has been planned in such a way that hazard is recognized and residual risk are managed and control using risk assessment, permit to work and tool box talk.

Ensure that environment safety and health are identified, communicated and understood by workers under my supervision.

Follow up or monitor injuries, near miss, incident reported to me or to HSE team.

Ensure that workers under my immediate control have been provided with required PPE, tools that is regular inspected and in good condition.

SCOPE OF WORK:

It’s over 1trillion rail tracks, coaches’ rehabilitation project of over 300km in the eastern part of the country. Which works includes excavation and recycling of materials, lifting, lining and tamping, loading, offloading and handling of rails materials, ballast filling, tracks settings stabilization, removal and collection of rail fastening, rail fastening fixing, dismantling and replacing rail sleepers, laying new rails, flash butt welding and grinding rails (hot work), grinding new installed rails, survey, laying and installation of rail puller.

DUTIES:

Implementing health and safety policy and regulations of the company.

Supervise rail traffic, storage, loading and offloading of track materials.

Conducting rail safety training, toolbox talks and daily task briefing.

Reporting all unsafe condition and acts during rail operation. Advise management on appropriate employee corrective actions.

Organizing safety meeting among the construction and implementing the use of all safety forms such as, equipment inspection form. Permits, and more for safety improvement on site.

Sufficient barriers & signage placed by the trench/excavation to avoid falling of people or vehicles.
