DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Liaising with and advising production supervision on matters related to project quality and error prevention.

Analysis of project production activity with regard to quality and quality defects and reporting the analysis to the QC Engineer.

Interpretation of Codes, Standards and Specifications.

Welding Store audit that Welding consumables maintenance report audit as per Specification & Client requirements for Particular job.

Review of subcontractors Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Record (PQR), and Welder Qualification test (WQT).

Material Receiving Inspection, Traceability, Verification and Project requirement tests with respect to purchase order and project requirements.

Perform Visual and Dimensional Inspections of Raw materials & Verification of transfer of material traceability (Heat Number).

Inspection of all activities before welding such as Fit-up, Dimensional inspection.

Verification of calibration status of Equipments and Instruments at required stages.

Execution of all required inspection within their assigned project and recording the results of inspection.

Explain about WPS for particular job to Welders and Welding foreman.

Monitor and ensure welding is carried out as per approved welding procedures.

Welding audit while doing welding of Piping, Pressure Vessels & Structural.

Preparation of request for NDT as per ITP, Client requirements, Codes & Standards as stated in Drawing and NDE map (if any).

Interpretation and Evaluation of NDT / Test results.

Prepare and compile QC documents related to materials.

Representing QC in project meeting & updating the status on daily / weekly basis.

Prepare repair rate weekly by project wise and record for company reference.

Making Report of day to day welding activities that daily welding report and witness of inspection activities.

To raise NCR if product / work deviates from project Specification and Standards.

To follow up NCR, (if any raised) to make sure corrective & preventive action have taken.

Witness for NDT, Final Dimensional and Final Visual Inspection.

Monitoring the QA / QC documentation of the subcontractors and ensure that all activities are incorporated to their system on daily basis and can be traced according to project requirement.

Preparation of Punch list for every project.

Witnessing of Hydro Test, Pneumatic test and Vacuum test as per ITP and Client requirements.

Preparation of Inspection Reports and Inspection release note.

Review and Final acceptance of quality related documentation.

Co-ordination, Review and Submission of final as built & all quality related documentation to Clients.
