Work Experience
September 2014 –March 2018 Import Department Head & Logistics Manager Assistant Green Line Warehousing and Cargo Services. (Nasr City, Cairo) Responsibilities:
Contacting Foreign Freight Forwarders and/or Foreign Shipping Lines to build a strong partnership to ensure we always have competitive Freight Rates available to our clients.
Negotiate Freight Rates with Foreign Freight Forwarders and /or Shipping Lines to reach the client’s Target Rate.
Coordinate the suitable Pickup dates and loading plan with the Clients’ Suppliers.
Revise the paperwork and any necessary documents of our clients’ foreign Suppliers to ensure everything is in order before shipping (PL, CI, EUR1, COO, and Legalization).
Handle all the Export shipments to Egypt from our Company Branch in Hamburg, Germany.
Act on behalf of the Logistics Manager when he’s unavailable. (Meeting with clients, solving problems with Clients, Sales Reps, Customs Brokers).
Handle all Import Shipment Sales Requests (FCL, LCL, Air Shipments) and Freehand shipments from our Foreign Freight Forwarders partners.
Issue final selling rates to the Sales Reps and try to negotiate with both Forwarders and Shipping Lines to match the clients’ target rates.
Delegate tasks to the Operations Coordinator.
Regular follow up with clients from my key accounts.
Issue Shipping invoices then sending them to the finance department for final approval.
Training trainees/new employees whether they’re Sales Representatives or Operation Coordinators. (How to make a sales call (Cold Calling), extract all the required shipment request details from the client, rate negotiation)
Issue a weekly report of all the Import and Export Shipments handled in the operation department.
Issue monthly Import Freight Rates sheet to our Sales department for fast quoting to clients.
Monitor the Sales Representatives' Daily, Weekly, and Monthly activity through issuing reports to the Sales Manager and Logistics Manager.
Handle Export Shipments from Egypt when needed.
Manage some of the company's Social Media outlets.
Issue daily activity reports.
Handle some administrative work.
September 2013 –August 2014 Teaching assistant for Foundation Stage (British section) City International School ( British City College). (Zamalek, Cairo) Responsibilities:
Teach foundation stage kids British English (Phonics, blending, etc.), Mathematics (Counting, Addition and Subtraction).
Help those with some minor learning disabilities.
Help in organizing annual shows and events.
