Designation: Geologist (Staff Officer to GM) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Oil & Gas Company Limited - Peshawar, Pakistan December 2014 – Present EXPLORATION GEOSCIENTIST – PROSPECT GENERATION EXPLORATION DEPARTMENT Currently leading teams responsible for the Reconnaissance & Surface Geological Mapping, Seismic survey & civil works, drilling prospects accountable for the entire Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Petroleum concessions/ Leases. Managing support teams of Geo-scientist for exploration, development, and prospect evaluation, exploitations for essential Oil & Gas resources. Currently leading two frontline capacity, and infrastructure development Projects in Oil & Gas funded from Federal PSDP / Annual Development Programs (ADP) funded by Government. Projects:
i. Leading the integrated Project team for Establishment of Institute of Petroleum technology at District Karak, KP @ Estimated Capital Cost of Project is Rs. 2530 Million. (Revised – 2053 Million PSDP Scheme No 214 – FY 201718) ii. Project Team Lead for Shale Gas, Shale Oil & Tight Gas Study Project – Whole Khyber Pakhtunkhwa @ 275 Million PKR iii. Leading the Execution Phase of Approved Project of Establishment of State of the Art Technical lab namely “Geo-Jurassic Petroleum Prospecting Lab @ Estimated Capital Cost of Rs. 1064 Million.
The tasks being conducted within the geological domain were surface mapping, seismic planning, designing, acquisition, interpretation, log interpretation, reserves & resource estimation, projections, reservoir characterization and block evaluation for Business development and Joint Venture Partners
Managed and assisted field visits, data collection, process for monitoring evaluation, commissioning for fields/ Surveys / Civil works & produced reporting with specialized relevant testing, analysis both on & off the field
Initiated and managed several conventional & unconventional projects Feasibility, Evaluation from design to completion. The projects were completed on-time and within budget. Project performance was presented to the CEO, GMs and the Board of Directors.
Developed reporting formats for various project Key Performance Indicators related to plan for exploration, development, surface facilities, commissioning and result based monitoring.
Further tests included; Chronostratigraphic & burial history/ Structural geothermal modelling/Gross Depositional & seismic models for hydrocarbon generation of the basin, the results of which were deemed successful and produced digitised structural and geological maps utilising seismic survey technics, well logs, various software and digital interpretation tools and satellite imagery data sets resulting in qualitative & quantitative results
Led & conducted geological and structural field mapping and prospect evaluation in 5 X Exploration blocks in accordance to the model petroleum concession agreements, Field development plans commitments, Policies and Regimes, financial implications and business development / Joint Venture Partners.
Represented KPOGCL at Technical Workshops and Technical / Operational / Financial Committee meetings as a delegate with Operators & others Joint ventures partners to safe guard the interest of KPOGCL.
Lead & successfully managed Feasibility, Preparation of Project cycles & related RFP's, Tenders, Operational capacity building, civil works, commissioning /execution for titled scheme “Geo-Jurassic Lab for Geological & Petroleum Sciences “@ cost of 1064 Million PKR.
Leading Unconventional Project for Tight reservoirs- feasibilities and Geological & geophysical interpretations, for Titled scheme “Shale Gas, Shale Oil & Tight Gas Studies” in the sedimentary basin of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province “@ cost of 275 Million PKR (Phase-I, already completed Phase-I for 100 Million PKR).
