Responsible for multiple-site QMS implementation and maintenance, and product verification activities for this electronics sub-contractor specializing in cable assemblies, wire harnesses, and electro-mechanical subassemblies for the defense, aerospace, and commercial industries with annual sales of $20+ million. Responsibilities and accomplishments:

Maintain Internal Product Acceptance results and Internal Quality Costs results that contribute to overall profitability of division

Maintain Customer Acceptance levels that have achieved awards and resulted in new business with established customers as well as resulted in new accounts

Have Guided Successful ISO 9001 and AS 9100 Implementations in numerous manufacturing sites, including the first ISO 9001 implementation in a Prison Industries/Private Partnership manufacturing site in the United States

Responsible for the overall QA of the North Myrtle Beach and the Bennettsville plants and one additional plant in Mexico. Prior to being transferred to the North Myrtle Beach plant in 1997, was responsible for the QA of the plant in North Carolina (NC). Successfully obtained ISO 9000 certification for all these plants.

MANUFACTURING FOREMAN / MACHINING SUPERVISOR 1987 – 1989

Vickers, Inc. – Statesville, NC

Responsible for daily operations in machining and hydraulic pump assembly. Duties included scheduling, inventory control, personnel training, ensuring process and product quality, scheduling production activities on manufacturing floor, prioritizing tasks based on daily production reports, and documenting and presenting production results to management.

QA SUPERVISOR / SPC COORDINATOR 1981 – 1987

Southern Fastening Systems – Statesville, NC

Responsible for the verification activity of a large internal tool shop and all production aspects as well as several sub-contracted process vendors. Results of these efforts included the company being awarded Ford’s Q-1, Chrysler’s Penna-Star, and GM’s Top Sphere Rating.
