Human Resources Assistant

Provides administrative and human resources support to the Human Resources department.

Manages the supplemental staffing process. Serves as primary contact for managers, temporary agencies and colleges/universities. Recruits for temporary and student internship positions. Screens resumes for relevant job content and schedules interviews with managers and applicants. Tracks and reports on temporary headcount statistics monthly.

Prepares new hire packets and benefit binders for orientations.

Runs employment background checks on candidates. Conducts references on all potential interns.

Posts jobs on the MMS website as well as outside recruiting sites, such as Monster and Linked in and local colleges/universities.

Maintains communication with managers on supplemental staffing needs and length of time needed for each role.

Approves invoices in Docusign from our outside staffing agency.

Periodically organizes on-boarding events for supplemental staff as well as quarterly new hire breakfasts.

Responsible for administering the Society’s multiple reward programs, as well as the employee referral program. Processes reward payments in Workday.

Helps to manage Health Quest, the Society’s employee health and wellness program. Schedules classes and events, tracks registration and collects co-payments for all classes. Manages relationship with wellness vendors and helps to develop yearly calendar of events. Also works with Blue Cross and Blue Shield and Dana Farber Cancer Institute to provide onsite mammography vans and blood drives at MMS.

Assists with presentations and slide shows for company meetings and employee appreciation events as needed.
