Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Greeting visitors, and handling inquiries from the public

Filing, scanning, faxing, as well as typing specific documentation

General purpose

Gives each guest a personal recognition and to provide a high level of support and

information to guests at the Hotel’s front desk and handle enquiries relating to

reservations

Key Responsibilities

Greet Guests upon arrival

* Plan and coordinate the provision of friendly, efficient services to guests

* Schedule activities for guests

* Plan and coordinate all promotional activities targeting clients

* Assist with check-ins / check-outs of clients

* Assist all departments in being receptive to the needs of guests

* Assist staff with language and culture

* Assist with translations (information: guest directory; menus etc.) as required

* Provide feedback from Guests to Front Office Manager for action

Attend recreation activities when necessary

Monitor arrivals and expected bookings;

Register and check-in guests in prompt, efficient and friendly manner;

Clearly explain room key, location and direction of the room to guests;

Minimize disruptions for guests if rooms are not ready;

Provide vehicle valet service if offered and within driving license restrictions;

Ensure the reception and guest areas are well stocked with stationery and

presentation information;

Provide luggage collection and storage for guests;

Take messages for guests ensuring messages are delivered or forwarded promptly.

Retrieve room keys

Take every opportunity to maximize sales within the accommodation area;

Take every opportunity to maximize sales by suggesting products and services of the property
