Ensure that all assigned personnel and construction contractors supervision and manpower are fully instructed and motivated with respect to Company Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) policy, site security, site regulations, permit to work procedures and instructions and Client requirements.

Ensure that all personnel adhere strictly to the latest approved for construction (AFC) project drawings, specifications, procedures and site instructions

Ensure by leadership and guidance, that all contracted works under my control meet all practical, commercial, requirements of productivity, quality and contract completions.

MY DUTIES AS A CONSTRUCTION

SUPERVISOR/INTENDENT

Organize and manage daily coordination meetings with Site Team and Sub-Contractors.

Keep Management informed and updated about the construction status

(reporting daily / weekly / monthly to Site Manager/Project Manager

Interface with Client Representative for field operations and relevant schedule targets.

Attend meetings with Client.

Order material as per Material Take Off and B.O.M

Inspection, sign and hand over of equipment

Daily diaries and man-hours recorded

Liaise with Stores for lead time on procured items and equipment.

Supervise and co-ordinate construction activities & liaise with engineers within assigned areas. Provide daily supervisory surveillance checks and records, ensuring that contractor’s management and supervision are providing safe working conditions and permit procedures, all required competent personnel, and protective equipment.

Agree method statements, risk assessments and job safety analysis. Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the agreed method statements.

Ensure that all hazardous activities are covered by an agreed risk assessment and method statement prior to commencement of work.

Routinely study, check, review and validate all personnel work scopes, ensuring all contractors proper interpretation and compliance with latest revision AFC drawings and specifications.

Ensure that relevant personnel carry out the receipt, storage, checking, test and calibration of instruments to comply with the project specifications and contract schedule.

Ensure contractor’s fabrication works are installed on a timely basis to allow schedule completions as per contract.

Ensure Mechanical & Piping contractors work hand in hand with E&I contractors in assisting QA/QC department in hand over and selling of packs to client.

Ensure all workers under me will ensure good engineering practises.

Motivate and involve all personal to team work, meet client demands and have a Zero-Tolerance approach to safety

Ensure personnel carry out all excavations and trenching in a logical fashion, minimizing site disruption and that they provide safety barriers, signage and trench crossings in accordance with the Company HSE plan.

Ensure that all personnel and commissioning personnel carry out, witness and record all instrument and check requirements in accordance with the agreed commissioning schedule and all record documentation is available on a timely basis to facilitate system and equipment handover and start up.

Ensure efficient use of specialist vendor representatives, arranging contractor support and Client witness as required in accordance with the commissioning handover and start up schedule.
