An insurance claim from Huntsman Corporation, for their factory in Pori, Finland, which suffered a major fire in January 2017, and 2). A Caustic Soda and Ethylene Dichloride facility in Abu Dhabi, which is presently under development. I am also McLellan’s onsite Project Manager for the rebuild of the Moorings Marina and Hotel complex in Tortola (BVI); which suffered major damage during Hurricane Irma.

The project removed the temporary accommodation modules on Hibiscus and Poinsettia platforms and replaced them with permanent accommodation modules (installed by single heavy lift).
Engineering Scope covered: HSSE, Design Safety, Architectural, Process Utilities, Structural, Mechanical, Control & Instrumentation (Fire & Gas System & Integrated Control and Safety System), IT, Communication and Electrical (Power Generation & Distribution Systems).
2009 - 2010 Project Team Leader - Neal & Massy Wood Group - Project Cost US$700M
As Project Delivery Team Leader, I worked solely on the BG Trinidad & Tobago contract; where I was responsible for development and implementation of Dolphin Platform Risk Reduction projects. The Dolphin Risk Reduction project upgraded / replaced many of the platform’s existing systems to bring them in-line with present day industry standards.
The initial phase of this project involved the development of the Fire & Explosion Hazard Management philosophy for the platform; which involved working with BGT&T and Risk Management Consultancies such as: Vectra Arcadis, MMI and Hughes Risk Management. Quantitative Risk Assessment and Fire Risk Analysis techniques were used to identify the projects to be implemented to bring the platform in to the ALARP region.
2007 - 2009 Site Manager - Johnson Matthey Catalysts - Materials Demonstration Unit (Trinidad)
The MDU was a novel natural gas reforming technology that Johnson Matthey developed to reduce capital investment and process energy requirements; as well as CO2 emissions, for Methanol and Ammonia plants.
Based at the construction site on the Methanex facility in Point Lisas, Trinidad; as Site Manager I was responsible for HSSE, QA/QC, Project Controls, Contracts & Procurement, Materials Management, Logistics, Site Engineering, Fabrication, Construction, Completions, Commissioning and Mothballing activities.
