The current WC-Pledge system is built on aged technology resulting in a lack of flexibility to make system changes, policy modifications midterm, and the inability to collect new data fields. WC-Pledge maintenance costs are high due to the age of the technology. In addition, the current application suite does not provide CNA the needed pricing flexibility to achieve pricing needed to remain competitive in the market. The Workers Compensation data captured by the current system does not adequately support actuarial and provide predictive modeling the data needed to build best in class modeling applications. The system also does not provide Underwriting with decision making tools and rules to enable more efficient UW processes (risk analysis/low touch/no touch/referral) and efficient risk qualification decisions
