PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Director of Operations – U.S. Navy Region Southeast July 2015 – Present Developed and managed a diverse workforce required to maintain day-to-day operations for 11 airports, 5 sea ports and the supporting fire and safety departments at 18 military bases located across 12 states in the southeastern United States and Cuba.

Conducted flight operations in MH-60R

Director of Air and Port Operations – Naval Air Station Jacksonville July 2012 – July 2015 Responsible for every aspect of daily operations of two airports, including air traffic control, ground electronics, passenger processing, cargo handling, hangar maintenance and safety.

Conducted flight operations in P-3C, MH-60R, T-45C, AS350 and AH-6.

Directed the Naval Air Station Jacksonville Aviation Safety and Aircraft Salvage programs. Responsible for the salvage operations of one B-737 and one Hawker Hunter aircraft. College Professor – U.S. Naval War College August 2009 – July 2012 Instructed military and government professionals in a Master’s Degree course of study on topics such as military planning, contemporary operations and critical thinking.

Selected by the President of the Naval War College to develop the capstone seminar on U.S. Navy operations. For this effort, authored the foundational essay which is still in use by the college and presented a lecture to over 450 military officers and government professionals on the culture and history of the U.S. Navy and contemporary operations. Department Manager – ESCU-1 U.S. Navy February 2008 – August 2009 Officer in Charge and Pilot in Command of two HH-60H aircraft conducting Personnel Recovery and Special Warfare support in US Pacific Command combat zones. Following deployment remained at H-60F/H Fleet Replacement Squadron as senior flight instructor.

Planned and executed combat operations over five months with no flight safety incidents and zero work days lost to injury while embarked on a naval vessel.

Developed a $3.8 Million training curriculum and courseware program for military professionals on emerging concepts to improve the decision making. This technology project was delivered on time and on budget.

Spearheaded a small cadre of planners that developed all aspects of U.S. Government preparations to assist Qatar during the 2006 Asian Games.
