Job Description:

Provides front-line services to the Production units assigned on the aspects of; dairy husbandry and management; dairy processing and marketing; cooperatives development; community organizing and financial and business management.

Supervises the operations and management of the dairy project from production, collection, processing to marketing and distribution.

Advises the dairy cooperatives in all aspects of dairying in production, collection, processing and marketing in terms of technical, social and finance considerations.

Provides effective and efficient extension services to the dairy cooperatives to ensure viable and feasible dairy business operations.

Assist the Board of Directors of the dairy cooperatives in identifying their training needs as well their members to enable them to respond effectively to the needs of integrated dairy business operations.

Provides technical services to ensure minimal incidence of common diseases and zero incidences of zoonotic diseases in the dairy zone by conducting various activities, i.e. zoonotic testing, hemosept vaccination, dehorning, hoof trimming, deworming, vitamin supplementation and etc.

Conducts retooling seminars and related activities that will improved the technical capabilities of the dairy farmers to ensure volume of milk production.

Provides closed supervision in developing dairy farms from forage development housing management, proper waste disposal, milking parlor set-up and etc.
