INTRODUCTION

I am a 33 year old South African male. I have been working in earthworks and layerworks (civils) for most of my life.

As a Senior Foreman I have done road rehabilitation, drainage, construction of new roads, construction of railway lines, dams and canals for the irrigation of sugar cane plantations, residential roads as well as residential homes.

Some of my jobs include multi billion rand projects which included the Gautrain Project in South Africa, the Gauteng Freeway Improvement Project (TolCon), Ncala Rail in Mozambique (Tete), Sugar Plantation and Irrigation (Sierra Leone) and smaller road construction projects in South Africa. King Shaka Airport In Natal.

I pride myself in the fact that all my jobs were concluded within the contract period allowing for little or no penalties having to be paid by the Company.

I complete a project from start to finish, bulk earthworks (blasting), including cut and fill and then doing all selected layers to completion and surfacing. My layer-works include stabilization. Asphalt includes all different types and sizes and different types of bitumen. I can read plans. I can work out quantities of cement required as well as the spacing thereof. I can lay storm water pipes; do side-drains, sub soil drains, culverts, head-walls, wing-walls, cable ducts, curbs, channels and gabions.

My last job included earth and layer-works in Bergendal Estate

I am a hard working hands-on individual (not afraid to get dirty) with sober habits who works well with my team mates.
