Objective
I am a medical laboratory technician, AMT Certified with 30 years experience in the field. I have worked in both small and large hospitals. I have worked and have experience in all departments of the laboratory. I have strong Hematology skills and I have also performed phlebotomy. I am very proficient, organized and get things done in a timely manner. I do very well at multitasking. I can adapt to new equipment and procedures very quickly and efficiently. Qualifications
I have worked on a variety of instruments which include the Provue and ABS2000, Beckman Coulter Access, DXI, LX20,Semens Dimersion, GenS and HeMax. I have worked on the Stago Star and Compact, the Bayer Clinitec 500, Micro osmometer 3300 and the Triage Meter Pro. I have also worked on Dade Hematology analyzers and the Sysmex 2100. I have worked on several LIS systems including Cerner Classic and Millennium, Soft Lab and Meditech. I have performed CBC’s with manual differentials as well as CSF and Body Fluid Cell Counts. I have performed type and screens with both immediate spin and complete cross matches, multiple antibody ID, elution’s, absorptions, DAT, cord blood workups, phenotyping, and I am familiar with components such as platelets, ffp, cryo pooling and pediatric blood as well as trauma protocol and emergency release blood. I have done both tube and gel testing. In microbiology I have worked on the stacker and read plates several years ago but most of micro has been culture setup and gram stains, strep screens, C. difficiles screens, Direct Bacterial Antigens, Influenza A and B testing as well as Blood Culture setup. I have done all the major chemistry testing and panels including HIV and Hepatitis testing, 24 hour urines, osmolality, drug screen testing, and many years ago did electrophoresis and ANA testing. Other areas include UA with micro and macro testing, and Coag to include PT, PTT, Fibrinogen, DiDimers and LMWH. I have worked in the sendout processing area and work directly with Mayo Laboratory. I have experience in Mayo website and Mayo access as well as doing the charges and billing with all sendouts.I have be Hematology supervisor and a manager for the out-patient reference lab.
