JOB DESCRIPTION

-Design, develop and implement enterprise web applications to provide Accounting information and Automation services to University Bursary Department.

-Lead Developer and Administrator for Bursary Salesforce Cloud Services and J2EE Intranet based Bursary Information systems.

-Lead facilitator for Bursary Capacity Building Training using Excel and Ms Access.

-Analyse and consolidate daily receipts of payment gateway (interswitch) and Student management portal reports (WAEUP Student portal) in compliance with GAAP and IPSAS.

-Analyse bursary accounting operations, report inefficiencies and provide system recommendations and hardware/Software solutions.

-Analysis and document Student E-collection performance reports.

-Liaise with bursary revenue generation section (Investment, Student and Part-time Accounts sections) on student fee performance and adjustments.

-Facilitate and Document standard operational procedures (SOP) to enhance bursary accounting operations procedures like user manual, standard operation procedure documents etc.

Bursary Information System (2017) Designed and Developed a J2EE intranet-based accounting information system to process Treasury Single Account transactions, automate Bursary Accounting operations (Revenue and Expense) and generate Internal and External IPSAS Standards Accounting Reports for final accounts, the system drastically increased Management decision-making and accounting cycle timeliness by 80%.
