EDUCATION
University of California, Los Angeles B.S., Mechanical Engineering 2013-2017 Graduated December, 2017
UCLA Senior Design Capstone Project Winter & Spring 2017
- Team member for development of robotic arm designed to identify, lift, and move objects. Led the design, computer-aided design (CAD), and fabrication of the robotic base that enabled key robotic movements via stepper motor and gear transmission system. Implemented engineering analysis techniques including finite element analysis. Demonstrated hands-on experience using state-of-the-art equipment including machining, 3D printing, and laser etching for fabrication of multiple components. UCLA Rocket Project (Propulsions Sub Team and Payload Sub Team) – Student Organization 2013-2017
- Member of the Rocket Project Team as part of the UCLA chapter of AIAA. Designed and machined a deployable airplane glider that would eject from the payload. Performed an engineering study on building an in-house hybrid rocket motor. Ultimately, ended up using a solid rocket motor due to affordability constraints. Project concluded with successful launch in the competition. EXPERIENCE
Tata Sikorsky/Tata Lockheed Martin Aerospace Limited – Internship (Hyderabad, India) Summer 2015
- Led a system engineering configuration management effort to compile a list of schematic changes between older and new models of various aircraft. Completed technical and managerial training in quality assurance
(ISO 9001 and AS9100), six sigma, and SAP. Gained experience with multiple manufacturing processes used for aircraft components such as chemical milling.
Clean Room Presentations (CRP) Group – Internship (Hyderabad, India) Summer 2016
- HVAC design team member for design and manufacturing clean rooms. Worked on the design and analyses that goes into designing and building a pharmaceutical clean room. Examples include HVAC design, filter specification, laminar vs turbulent air flow design, tonnage, as well as psychrometric principles (dry bulb, wet bulb, etc.) to aid in HVAC design.
