To introduce myself, an ambitious, professional, reliable individual who is seeking a position as an entry level Database Administrator, or Junior Information Technology Specialist. Since completing my schooling, I have gained new knowledge on using several different programming languages and database software. During my undergraduate career; we complete several project in MS SQL Server Database creating a fictional doctor’s office database. We used Microsoft Visio in order to design the ERD for our project. After using Visio, we were able to show the relationships between the tables, identifying the primary keys, along with the foreign keys. Also, while creating the database, I learned how to connect the database using MS Visual Basic 2008. We had made an application using Microsoft Visual Basic, connect the database using .Net. Since then while completing my Master’s program; our class worked in a team setting, creating a fictional database that held data pertaining to airline departure for an Oracle Database. During this time, we continued to use Visio to design our tables. Once all projects were completed with both undergrad and master’s program; we tested the data, by using Data Manipulating Language in order to retrieve the data. Besides this we used Data Definition Language in order to create the table, alter the data, or tables, drop tables to include. Also, other tools used during my undergrad and graduate classes was Microsoft Suite, i.e. Access, Excel and Word. From these tools, we transferred stored data from those application and stored them within a database. Of course you had to check for redundancy within the rows and tables. While serving in the Army, throughout my military tour, I’ve not only learned law enforcement, but learned how to use software that was classified at that time; which allowed me to obtain a Top Secret clearance
