I was promoted to Second Class Sargent (which is the second highest ranking a student can achieve in a military based discipline system) based on my overachieving academic and disciplinary performance throughout my professional studies I have managed to maintain a 9.78 GPA; I have an extremely disciplined work ethic, I am opened minded and appreciate constructive criticism to help me grow as a professional and person. During My Senior year at Escuela Nautica we would board ferry ships as a workshop and assist in the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the ship for 10 days. I helped with preparations prior to departure, assisted in navigation tasks such as coastal, astronomical and electronic navigation, familiarization with cargo, recordkeeping,and stowage of RO-RO cargo, and regularly kept up with safety and maintenance duties.
Deck Simulator, NaviTrainer S-2000, Mazatlan, Sinaloa 2015-2017 Here at Escuela Náutica there is a Transas simulator. It mostly used for alumni revalidating courses, but it is also given as a class starting Junior year until the end of Senior year so one can be familiar with the systems used onboard.
Tugboat, Remolcadores Boluda, Mazatlán, Sinaloa 2016–2017
As with the simulator commencing Junior year until the end of senior year the school has a pact with the harbor master of the port of Mazatlán, and we are required to learn to maneuver a tugboat and participate in tugboat operations as to assisting with docking and undocking a ship.
Safety Procedures, Pesca Azteca S.A. de C.V., Mazatlan, Sinaloa 2017 Escuela Náutica has many pacts with local maritime companies, and another one of them is a workshop for an industrial safety procedure tasks with the officers on the bridge aboard Pesca Azteca ships, and maintenance with their junior staff. in Pesca Azteca, which is one of the largest fishing companies in Latin America.
