Project Experience
Los Angeles Crime
Analysis on data provided from the LAPD for crimes which occurred within the Los Angeles city limits from 2010 to 2018. Performed data cleaning, variable creation, data analysis, logistic regression in R, and created interactive web applications in Shiny.
2018 NBA Finals J.R. Smith Twitter Reaction
Text processing, sentiment analysis project on fan reaction tweets scraped from Twitter API, after the Cavaliers’ loss in Game 1, where J.R. Smith made a critical mistake during the last seconds on regulation. Found twitter reaction to be overwhelmingly negative.
The Islanders
Designed and implemented experiment on inhabitants of a virtual island, applied completely randomized factorial design and analysis of variance to test hypothesis of whether varying levels of glucose and adrenaline injections affected indoor 100m dash time.
Pokemon Catch Rate
Utilized data on Pokemon (Gen. 1 to Gen. 6) from Kaggle to perform data analysis. Created predictive models using regression trees and multiple linear regression in R to find statistically significant predictors in Pokemon catch rate.
