●Worked in a team of two on a company sponsored project to redesign one of the company’s products, the optical reading unit, to add functionality and meet design requirements

●Researched different components of opto-mechanical design, primarily interference filters, LEDs, fiber optics, and mirrors

●Designed multiple iterations of the reading unit through 3D printing, conducted optical tests to assess device performance, and implemented a software control feedback loop to regulate the sample housing to body temperature

●Created a graphical user interface in MATLAB to implement serial communication with an Arduino to record/display pseudo-real time measurements of absorbance over time

Electrical & Computer Engineering Design: Wireless Mail Alert System, WPI, Oct-Dec 2017

●Managed a team of three to conceive, design, and build a prototype of a wireless mail alert system to meet customer requirements, product specifications, and to create a functioning prototype to present the product concept

●The device was designed to utilize Arduinos, wireless modules, a lithium ion battery, an analog force sensor, LEDs, and a solar cell
