Work Experience
Nov, 2004 - Present Petro-Energy E&P, Sudan
Sr.Petrophysicist
My main contribution and achievement in this position:
Establishing realistic mineral base model (probabilistic) for low porosity/permeability reservoirs.
I help to increase the reserve and production by recommended to perforate low resistivity oil layers in Sufyan N-3 oil-field.
Save more than 1.5 MUSD for horizontal well technology by customizing the porosity tool.
Assist to increase the oil production in CSS project by advising to run SBT log for cement evaluation and control water breakthrough.
Carried out full in house 2 FDP study for development plan.
The main responsibility for petrophysical work activities as the following:
1.JAKE_oil field (45 wells): Integrated formation evaluation for light hydrocarbon and condensate gas development.
2.FULA _oil field (225 wells): provide petrophysical interpretation and assist on water injection and EOR projects in heavy oil reservoirs.
3.KEYI _oil field (44 wells): provide comprehensive mineral description in complex and heterogeneous reservoir with low productivity due to low permeability.
•Successfully identify miss pay zones in challenge shaly-sand reservoirs.
•Provided critical parameters on well logging data application of the development oil fields, especially water flooding during middle phase in heavy oil reservoirs.
•According to the high water cut in mature oil field (FULA), proposed to establish EPI (electric Potential Image) for remaining oil saturation distributions and forward field development plan.
•I have Optimized the cost of the horizontal wells (5wells) by eliminated and compensated the porosity tool (Density-Neutron).
•I have grate Contributions to the FDP studies to meet project requirements provide full technical petrophysical support to the team (Fula FFR study, APEX 2010, Beijing China), (Fast track FDP study, ASAWER 2011, Khartoum Sudan).
•I have proposed mineral base model for low porosity reservoirs to describe actual reservoir properties and add additional reserves.
•Involved in FDP, FFR and IOR/EOR Projects in Block 6 such as (Water injection, Gas/N2 Injection, Chemical Injection, All types of Steam Injection (CSS, Steam Flooding, and SAGD), Hydraulic Fracturing, Geomechanics for EOR Projects).
