Project managed the building and development of an application that provides a marketplace for creative collaborators to: connect, create, earn money and build a reputation. Project Manager / Senior Business Analyst, Implementation, Clinical & Systems Transformation Project Provincial Health Services Authority, Vancouver, BC Apr. 2014 – Jun. 2017 Worked on the largest healthcare project in BC’s history with a budget over $800 million, the project aims to transform clinical practice and information systems across BC which will benefit patients, healthcare providers and Health Organizations.

• Lead the technical implementation working group, which coordinated the technical teams across the project to ensure technical readiness of the sites for implementations.

• Developed project plan and work breakdown structure for each site’s implementation. In addition, developed project plans for other phases of the project and tracked status of tasks and deliverables against baselines.

• Planned and managed the execution of the clinical software upgrade to the newest instance, coming in $50k under budget.

• Contributed to Implementation strategy, methodology, and project planning to complete the transformation using a phased approach.

• Determined current state processes for maintaining provider information across the province through stakeholder consultations and analysis. Analyzed sources and determined a strategy to maintain data for over 20,000 providers.

• Determined current state document distribution for information systems across organizations.

• Worked with stakeholders to develop the strategy for all document distribution from the new system.

• Authored the Project Charter, collecting all relevant information from leadership and stakeholders. Developed Charter templates for all teams, and wrote the Implementation/Activation team Charter.

• Assisted in budget development for the project by meeting with all project teams to determine costs and resourcing using a bottom-up approach.

• Organized and documented a week-long site visit with leadership from a leading Ontario hospital to provide design teams and leadership the opportunity to learn key lessons from their implementation and ongoing experience. Senior Strategic Planning Analyst, Planning & Performance Management Provincial Health Services Authority, Vancouver, BC Mar. 2011 – Apr. 2014 Worked on an interdisciplinary team in the areas of Healthcare Informatics, solution delivery, project management, business analysis, project portfolio management and benefits evaluation. • Core project team member: province-wide implementation of a $10 million Clinical Information System to be used by all Health Authorities (HA) to ensure that members of Health Authorities Medical Staff have the requisite credentials and privileges. The system will be used by over 10,000 health professionals. Additional Projects

• Developed a cost benefit analysis and business case to support the upgrade of the VCH Health Protection application and hardware that serves to track and report public health and safety in the areas of air quality, bed bugs, drinking water and recreational water, food safety and security, industrial camps, personal services establishments, radiation protection and sewage systems.

• Developed a business case for an organization-wide implementation of a Project Management Office and Project Portfolio Management Software for IMITS (Information Management/Information Technology Services for PHSA, VCH and PHC).

• Developed and implemented a mandatory online course to orient PM's across IMITS to the Project Portfolio Management, Project Management, and reporting practices used by the organization. Engaged stakeholders and establish standards for PPM processes.

• Supported operational procurement and contract management of consultant and hardware and software contracts.

• Led a template review and development working group for all IMITS Project Management templates, examples include: Project Plan, Test Plan, Go-Live Plan, and Requirements Documents.

• Developed an online toolkit on the IMITS SharePoint that outlines business processes to guide 5000 IMIT staff. Examples include: Consultant hiring, HW/SW purchases, staff intake process.

• Planned, built and maintained the Business Integration and Optimization SharePoint team site and the PHSA, VCH, PHC Application Rationalization site. AMBiT Consulting Inc., Strategic Program Management, Vancouver, BC Jul. 2010 – Nov. 2010 Cultivated AMBiT business development and secured new clients for the management consultancy firm.

• Managed proposal response teams and authored multiple successful RFPs, including: o Strategic Technology Advisor for the University of Calgary for 3-5 years; and o Project Manager for the University of Victoria’s Patient Simulation Program.

• Developed a Business Analyst World presentation, ‘Unknown Unknowns: Analyzing Business Requirements in the Face of Uncertainty,’ for Seattle, Edmonton, Vancouver and Ottawa conferences.

• Completed planning and managed project execution for videoconference sharing between a provincial Health Authority and the UBC medical program. The new processes and videoconference capabilities allow doctors, patients and students to connect through 50% more facilities.
