Main Project Features : e-Governance in Municipalities” is a unique initiative of the Government of India conceptualized under the umbrella of the overall National e-Governance Plan (NeGP) and the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JnNURM) aimed at improving operational efficiencies within Urban Local Bodies (ULBs). This initiative envisages covering Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) in 35 mission cities identified, from 15 states (~ 80 ULBs), having more than 1 million population as per 2001 census to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of delivery of municipal services to citizens. A minimum of Eight services (citizen centric and ULB centric) have been identified as a part of the program that will be deployed at state level as a centralized application and will subsequently be used by the ULBs of respective states.
