May assist engineers with design and development of new processes and/or products.
Perform calibrations and/or verifications of instruments and equipment to approved job plans, work instructions and/or procedures

Communicates effectively and accurately with internal and external functions, including Metrology Laboratory personnel, Instrument Manufacturer, Work Unit Supervisors, Manufacturing Engineers, Design Engineers, Purchase, Procurement, Shipping, Receiving, and Vendors
Identifies equipment that fails calibration, uses manufacturer’s manuals, etc to access and perform adjustment to meet specifications, or dispositions equipment as requiring repair
Works in both laboratory and manufacturing environments
Removes & re-installs test equipment from stations using safe practices
Issue progress reports to M.D to address all internal and external calibration issue in a timely manner
Use existing procedures to perform daily hands-on calibration work, ensuring calibrations are performed as scheduled and as defined by calibration program SOPs
Work independently and make sound judgments regarding work methods and tools
Occasionally work on other Process/Utility/Facility related work tasks/issues that are outside the calibration department’s normal work duties
