Payroll Manager
Process and review bi-weekly payroll through ADP Workforce Now for 1,150 employees (200 salaried, 950 hourly; 300 union employees) in a timely manner.
Supervise and train staff of five (5) Payroll Coordinators to ensure that ADP WorkForce Now, Empower, Great Plains, and JPI are functioning properly and that payroll is properly distributed to all employees in a timely manner.
Successfully lead and managed conversion from Hour Track (time keeping system) to Empower and from ADP PCPW to ADP WorkForce Now.
Assisted in implementation of the automated JPI Interface imports, which significantly decreased errors in the pay data entry and processing time.
Created Payroll Reconciliation audit of the ADP WorkForce Now, Empower, Great Plains, and JPI systems, which reduced payroll department error rate.
Ensure that the new payroll systems enchantments are timely implemented and properly tested prior to being placed in production environment.
Manage benefit financial processes (such as 401k funding with Fidelity) for employee contribution and employer match funding.
Create, review, and distribute various payroll reports to support financial projections, audits, HR reviews, and compliance issues.
Verify employee master data, payroll increases, tax and benefit deductions, and other miscellaneous deductions, as well as assist accounting staff with payroll discrepancies.
Update payroll records by reviewing and approving changes, job titles, and department changes.
Proactively respond to ensure all Union and Non-Union employee issues are handled in a timely manner and resolution is in compliance with company’s policy.
Set up and implemented and reviewed reconciliation of annual vacation accrual, annual sick pay-out, and 3rd Party Sick Pay to ensure accuracy.
Assist the CFO with 401k/Workman’s Comp and various audits and reconciled outstanding tax issues.
Manage all facets of the Annual Year End process.
