Production of Dimethyl Ether

Hand calculation and Aspen Hysys were used to calculate the flow of mass and energy balance. We performed details design of reactor, distillation columns, coolers, heaters, pumps and piping and instrumentation. Finally, the plant layout was sketched. Equipment Design and Line Sizing

We calculated specific characteristics of pumps such as, NPSH, pump power, suction and discharge pressures,pressure drop in pipes, liquid levels in vessel, height and diameter of storage tank according

to Process Design Principles in the project.
