Tensile Performance of ECC (Engineered Cementitious Composites) with Marble Powder and BFS (Blast Furnace Slag), University at Buffalo, Jan 2018- May 2018.
Particle Size Distribution analysis was utilized to obtain optimum proportions of BFS, Marble Powder and Silica Sand. Uniaxial tensile behavior was studied to achieve a tensile ductility of 2%. New York Bridge Asset Management Plan, Jan 2018- May 2018
Analyzed Life Cycle Costing (LCC) for preservation and safety of 30 bridges in New York state.
Bridge Asset Management plan was prepared considering the policies and funding issues.
The (LCC) includes demand, preservation, replacement and rehabilitation costs for a period of 30 years. Common Failure Modes in Prestressed Concrete Structures due to Seismic Events, Jan 2017- May 2017
Examined reconnaissance studies to determine the failure patterns of prestressed concrete structures so as to establish specific failure modes which could be further utilized in implementing designs.
These failure patterns were studied for a seismic environment since prestressed concrete still experiences similar failures as normal concrete.
The tasks involved collecting, researching and reviewing specific journals and providing necessary information regarding the failure modes.
Optimization of Cruciform Specimens- A Parametric Study, Aug 2016- Dec 2016
Designed cruciform specimens using AutoCAD and AbaqusFEA for bi-axial loading.
The structural design and strain concentration zones of the cruciform were optimized in order to simplify the fatigue life evaluation.
Mechanical Properties and Durability of High Strength Fiber Reinforced Concrete using Ultrafine GGBS (Ground Granulated Blast-furnace Slag), Osmania University, Dec 2015- May 2016
First best undergraduate engineering project award during Bachelor’s
Designed Ultra-fine GGBS mixtures with partial replacement of cement with Ultra-fine GGBS along with addition of hooked steel fibers to achieve a target strength of 80MPa. Flexural behaviour, Modulus of Elasticity and Resistance to Acid Attack were studied.
Credential- LEED Green Associate, USGBC, 2018
