Professional Experience

ISD 279, Osseo, MN

Achievements:

I started at district 279 as an ESP at Edgewood Elementary, moved to MGSH in the copy center, moved to the Education Service Center (district office) to the Media and Technology department; then due to a budget cut was offered the position of the Media department A-ESP for Media (Library) Services. Three years later another budget cut was eminent and I was displaced, I them bumped into the Student Services/ Special Education department, three years later the Special Education/Student Services Department was asked to cut their budget and I was displaced. I bumped into School Nutrition (Food Service). 2 years after joining School Nutrition and completing a Personal Improvement Program which included staff development and other outside seminars and training another budget cut placed me at North View Middle School as the Principal’s secretary.

Due to budget cuts in District 279, and specifically in the Food Service department, I was asked to train first at Woodland Elementary central office, second, North View Middle School front office, and Maple Grove Senior High in the Student Services (Counseling) office. Since the trainings, I was placed at North View Middle School. Learning how the school offices work (the same and differently) how staff interact with each other, which staff are responsible for certain situations that come up; learning how to interact with students in a very diverse environment.
