I have completed my Computerized Payroll Accounting Diploma with Honours two and a half months early. I’ve achieved a GPA of 4.0, or 94%. I’ve been awarded over 14 awards regarding my performance including student of the month in February 2018.

I am a member of the Canadian Payroll Association. I’ve completed all PCP courses on the first try, with high grades. In order to get fully certified, I will need to gain one year of payroll related experience.

COMPUTER RELATED SKILLS

High level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook. Skilled in Sage 50 and Quickbooks. Extremely comfortable and quick to learn new computer software. Experienced in operating most office equipment.

LEAD HOST OLIVE GARDEN MARCH 2015 – OCTOBER 2017

Co-ordinated seating for a restaurant with seating capacity of over 250 guests using a computer system and appropriate software (DineTime), which included reservation planning and set up.

Took charge during busy and stressful times/told other hosts what to do when there was an overwhelming influx of guests, especially during peak hours or holidays.

Ensured the maintenance of the restaurant lobby and guest restrooms.

Followed a seating queue to ensure fairness of seating and to prevent double seating.

Helped guests with any issues, questions and seating preferences.

Answered the telephone promptly, addressed questions, transferred calls to the appropriate personnel, and took/rejected reservations according to availability/management preferences.

Ensured the host station was ready for the next shift of host staff which included rolling 300 cutlery rollups, switching menus, cleaning the lobby, communicating with incoming lead host about relevant dining room information.

Learned the individual capacities of all serving staff to maximize seating efficiency and minimize guest waiting times.

Communicated with managers, bussers and other hosts to update and guide them regarding current dining room conditions, issues and needs.

COMMUNITY CLEAN-UP (AUGUST 2017 – NOVEMBER 2017)

Teamed up with a group of wonderful individuals to clean up the neighborhood of Thorncliff. Assisted elderly and disabled community members to rake leaves, shovel snow and maintain neighborhood cleanliness. Left the group due to focusing on school.

“IRON CHEF” FRESH START COOKING COMPETITION – FIRST PLACE (2011)

Won first place at a cooking competition that included participants from a network of four different high school’s cooking classes. Won by completing a nutritious and delicious three course meal that included a presentation towards four different judges.
