Resume - Nicola de Lange

Johannesburg Tel: +27-61-016-****

Age 36 Email: b *******.******.*******@*****.***

Career Objective

I wish to secure an active, hands-on personal assistant role that provides me with a challenge as well as plenty of opportunities for both personal and professional growth. A position that capitalizes on my previous experience in either the corporate or agricultural sector would be a plus. I am keen to find a position closer to home so that I can combine my personal and professional goals.

Skills, experience and personal attributes

Having started in the hospitality and equine industries I then took a position in a busy and successful retail head office and then moved on to project management in research and development. I have obtained in-depth knowledge of the workings of these dynamic sectors. I then went permanent within the equine industry and quickly grew within the company and was assigned multiple additional roles and responsibilities, rising to each new challenge with a willingness to learn.

Highly motivated

I am self-motivated, detail-driven and a stickler for processes. That said, I certainly do not shy away from innovating new solutions-based processes on the job, as and when challenges present themselves. I’m a firm advocate of always seeking a better, simpler, faster way. I establish goals for myself both professionally and personally, and set about achieving these as quickly as possible. My promotion from previous positions and added responsibilities in these positions, have been the result of these efforts being recognized.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities

I have been required to work towards numerous deadlines. Through careful planning, good communication with other team members and delegation, I have been successful in meeting the given time frames. I strongly believe in a team approach and giving support to each team member in order to achieve optimum results.

Having worked in the equine industry not just in the normal frame of things but also in development of the assisted therapy programs locally and nationally from conceptualization to implementation, some of which have become industry standards and have received recognition from riders, trainers and clients alike. This includes administration processes, case filing and best practice procedures for case studies and legal documentation for courts in regards for children in places of safety. This was achieved by sourcing and meeting with

various professionals within different fields, while sourcing international best practices and adapting them to South African industry norms.
