Duties & Responsibilities

Overall supervision of import and export and customs declarations

Overall overseer of clearance of sea and Air freight shipments.

Allocate duties to my junior staffs on daily basis and follow up.

Attend meetings called by kra, kifwa and other stake holders on behalf of the company.

Ensure top-notch customer service and facilitate accurate and timely declaration of documents in Simba, Orbus and kentrade systems.

Ensure proper documents are received in time, files opened for same and advice when they are not complete.

Sorting all customs valuation cases at KRA valuation and tariff department and ensure we don’t miss the direct loading for bulk cargo when such cases arise.

Follow up documents with the shipping lines and advice accordily.

Offering any shipping related/changes in laws governing trade as per EACCMA advisory to clients.

Incharge of all Customs/KRA issues.

Do fund requisition for any file opened in liaison with the Director .

Maintain correspondences on file for the purposes of organization records.

Incharge of courier operations.

Wide knowledge in manifest registration and releasing of delivery orders to clients.

Maintain office record keeping
