Duties and Responsibilities
Set priorities and implementing nursing care based on process
approach nursing assessment, diagnosis, planning,
implementation and evaluation.
ECG interpretation including identifying dominant rhythms,
arrhythmias etc.
Hemodynamic monitoring through cardiac monitor, arterial
line, CVP line.
Assist physicians with diagnostic procedures.
Helping in smooth functioning of health care team with
appropriate communication and proper handling of facilities
Maintenance of records and reports
Giving nebulization, stomach wash, sponge bath etc.
Maintaining intake and output chart.
Giving CPR and experience in using defibrillator.
Recording vitals and collection of blood samples.
Handling emergencies with advanced cardiac life support
instruments.
Giving emotional support to the patients and relatives.
Explaining about follow up care.
Documentation of all the above.
Carry out the treatment and regimen prescribed by the
Physician.
Managing the emergencies promptly and efficiently.
