I am an English national born in London but I have lived in Spain since 2008.

I currently teach English to Spanish students in an English Academy based in the local town of

Fortuna, Murcia. I have been working in this capacity for the last three years. My students are

predominantly children aged 5 to 16, however we also cater for adults as well. The Academy is

about to begin it's Summer break so I am looking for additional hours. This is not a short term

objective for me as I intend to continue with the online teaching once the Academy resumes in

September. My Academy hours would easily fit the schedule of teaching to overseas students based

upon the different time zones.

My qualifications (see details below), coupled with my work experience, make me believe I am

well suited to online tuition opportunities. Throughout my life I have been involved in many

training / teaching positions which has resulted in me having excellent communication and

understanding skills. I am flexible and patient in my lesson approach.

Over the years I have used computers for business and leisure so I have a good understanding of

facilities that may be useful to online positions e.g. Skype and Office programmes.

I initially began teaching sixteen years ago as an additional job alongside my full time business

commitments. When I began teaching, I taught art to children and adult beginners. I still run some

art classes on that basis here in Spain. However, I began additional training when I decided to

relocate to Spain, so I completed a basic TEFL course.

Since arriving in Spain I have maintained both Art and English classes. Originally my English

tuition was limited to private individual classes. However, for the past three years I have worked

within an Academy teaching groups of up to eight students, five days a week.

Historical Qualifications.

O levels in Biology and English. GCSE's in Geography, History, Chemistry, Physics and

Commerce.
