BMC Remedy Customization and Support

Description :

The project is based on all post implementation tasks for one of the BMC’s GSD client.

Client: BMC Software

Role: Responsibilities include:

Creating various AOT, PDT and SRD’s using SRM feature.

Configuration of custom process flow, custom approvals for change and service requests.

Importing foundation data using UDM and other data using Data Import tool.

Addressing issue related to Incident, Change, SR, CMDB, Asset management, etc. faced by users and analyzing logs whenever required.

Integrated Remedy with one of the client’s tool using Webservice and created necessary workflows.

Creating RBE rules for creating requests through email and client’s other requirements.

Description :

The Objective of the project was to support BMC Remedy ITSM and ADDM for the client within agreed SLAs.

Role: I was responsible for:

Health check of BMC Remedy tool as per the demand from client.

Proactively working with users and guiding them whenever necessary.

Generating various OOTB and custom reports for stakeholders as per the request.

Generating and analyzing logs to troubleshoot errors.

Troubleshooting of notification and email engine related issues.

Creation, Deletion and Updating user profiles

BMC Remedy AR Server Administration and troubleshooting server related issues.

Addressing various issues related to Change, Asset and Incident Management.

Description:

The objective of the project was to discover the infrastructure which consists of Servers and Network Devices, prepare the Inventories and integrate with CMDB.

Client: Wipro Technologies (HBP)

Role: I was responsible for:

Requirement gathering and planning related to software and hardware.

Installation, Configuration & Administration of ADDM over the virtual infrastructure.

Coordinating with different teams for configuring credentials and making sure required ports allowed for discovery.

Performed various discovery tasks like adding credentials, performing sweep scan to understand actual environment, scheduling discovery, configuring Time Synchronization using NTP Server.

Verifying and validating discovered data.

Single point of administration and validation over the consolidation server.

Schedule automated discovery of large subnets in a way as to minimize load over the network.

Provide necessary OOTB, custom reports and complete documentation.

Synchronization with CMDB.

Configuring HTTPS to make appliance accessible securely.

BMC ADDM-CMDB Administration and Support

Description:

Client implemented BMC Remedy on Demand along with ADDM and wanted support for this environment to keep the RoD and ADDM environment up and running.

Client: Wipro Technologies (Novartis Pharma)

Role: As an ADDM-CMDB Consultant, I was responsible for:

Monitoring BMC ADDM server performance by performing normal activities manually.

Patching and Upgrading of ADDM appliance as per the current available updates and BMC recommendations.

Building and using ADDM Clustering feature available from 10.X version.

Testing applying newly released TKU’s for any changes.

Developing of custom TPLs as per the requirement.

Management of the scanners and the Consolidator.

Solving appliance related issues by studying logs and troubleshooting errors.

Ensuring alignment between all Divisional ADDM appliance responsible staff on upgrades strategy and time plan.

Verifying and validating that the discovered data is received by the Consolidator.
