Introduction

I have finished Masters of Physical Therapy in the Philippines and obtained most of my work experience, where I have been exposed to both outpatient and hospital setting. I could work here in United States through an agency, where I have a 3-year contract and placed me to several clienteles such as SNF and Hospital/Acute/out patient rehabilitation department depending on the demand across Illinois and Iowa. In my 3 years of experience working here, I have been exposed to variety of cases, different approaches on documentations and therapy applications such as home assessment for patient home discharge, home recommendation, interdisciplinary care plans, contacting the doctor for progress report (recommendations for therapy progression, assistive device recommendation etc.) and several approaches to maximize patient’s progress towards therapy goals. I have received several mandatory trainings for Medicare guidelines, and several exposures to billing disputes, planning of patient’s ARDs and RUG categories. Last January is when I have finished my contract with my agency, and now, I know, I am ready to take a step higher in my career and Des Moines is the city of my interest to settle down.
