Assigned to EaglePicher Technologies, a major manufacturer of battery and other energy products used by the government and space, marine, and aeronautic industries, as a Service Delivery Manager for a short term project to modernize IT, migrate systems to an Azure Government cloud, and implement compliance to NIST standards. Within two months I was assigned additional duties to improve desktop support, manage the outsourcing of IT operations, and improve communications to business leaders.

Migrated 700 Outlook accounts to Office365 in a secure Azure Government Cloud.

Identified and deployed a NIST compliant cloud based enterprise fax solution.

Saved over $5MM of capital investment by initiating a major UNIX server refresh that focused on maximizing server virtualization while adding high availability capabilities for the client’s applications.

Saved over $1.2MM annually in SLA penalties by reducing outages 90% using six-sigma methodology to identify and correct systemic issues.

Doubled application availability to nearly 100% by correcting cluster configuration problems and implementing controls to restrict changes to those configurations.

Reduced nearly $200MM in annual labor costs and improved server build time by 75% by implementing new server build procedures.

Achieved $1MM in annual savings by reducing equipment, simplifying use, and improving communications by proposing and implementing a $1.2MM global effort to convert the business unit’s email system to Outlook/Exchange and integrating it with the corporate email system.

Delivered over $1MM in annual savings on operating expenses by leading the consolidation of more than 100 Microsoft Windows Domains containing several three thousand servers and nearly 50,000 accounts for multiple business units as part of an IT initiative.

Improved SLA compliance rates for tickets by more than 80% by developing and deploying a dashboard tool that enabled management and teams to monitor ticket status in real time and receive alerts for tickets approaching SLA limits.
