Personal statement
I’m a highly motivated and hardworking individual, who has recently completed their GCSE, and received excellent grades in both Maths, English and Science. Seeking an apprenticeship in the Midwifery sector to build upon a keen scientific interest and start a career as a midwife.
Scientifically minded, with a methodical approach to working and an eagerness to learn and develop personal skills in a practical setting. Eventual career goal is to become a fully-qualified and midwife, with the longer-term aspiration of moving in that sector.

Work Experience
Part-time Dog walker, Aaliyah’s Dog walking services, London
(April 2015 – April 2016)
Duties included
Responsible for providing exercise for their client's dogs each day.
Walks usually have a run for half hour or one-hour increments.
I often am responsible for checking the dog's food and water supply to make sure basic needs are met after their exercise.
Part-time Sales Assistant, UpperCutz Salon, Peckham
(April 2015 – April 2016)
Duties included:
Achieved four out of five revenue targets
Personally, billed profits since starting position.
Demonstrated resilience and ability to upsell products, and gave customers satisfaction with their hair styles that I have provided.
Significantly improved negotiation skills, regularly converting customers from point of enquiry to sale.

Duties included:
I have achieved the cleaning standards that the owner has set for the shop.
I was responsible stacking shelves in the store.
I was promoted to assisting deliveries.
Meeting all the needs of the customers.
Promoting and assisting customers on products.
Hobbies & Interests
Over the last two summers I have helped a family friend take care of the basic needs for their dogs and helped baby sit their children on weekends voluntarily. This has triggered a passionate interest in midwifery and, I have continued to build my knowledge by researching a degree in midwifery.
Initially starting to ask qualified midwives for advice whilst tracking progress on the industry, I began to enjoy writing about the subject.
